The Bihar RTE Portal Gyandeep released the selection list for the first round of the online lottery for the 2025-26 academic year on February 19, 2025. A comprehensive PDF file containing details such as student names, parent names, mobile numbers, block names, and school information has been made available on the official website for all districts. Additionally, the merit list for the second round of Bihar RTE Admissions is anticipated to be published on April 10, 2025, on the Gyandeep official portal.
Gyandeep Portal Admission 2025-26 gyandeep-rte.bihar.gov.in: Guidelines regarding enrollment of 25% disadvantaged group and weaker section children in private schools approved under Section 12 (1) (c) of the Right to Education Act, 2009 in the academic session 2025-26:
25% of children from underprivileged and disadvantaged groups in private schools approved under Section 12 (1) (c) of the Right to Education Act, 2009 and the Bihar State Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011 by the Education Department, Government of Bihar Enrollment for academic session 2025-26 is to be done through online portal. Eligibility Criteria for Bihar RTE Admission 2025-26
- Unprofitable Group: Children of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class and Minority Group whose parents/legal guardian’s annual income is up to Rs.1,00,000/- (one lakh).
- Weaker Class: All castes / community children whose parents / legal guardians have an annual income of less than 2,00,000/- (two lakhs).
- Age limit: Must be 6+ years old by 01 April 2025. (Children born between 02 April 2017 and 01 April 2019 are eligible for admission.)
Required Documents for Bihar RTE Admission 2025-26
- Birth certificate / hospital or nurse records / Anganwadi records / declaration given by the child or guardian for age.
- Caste certificate.
- Income certificate.
- Domicile certificate / Aadhar card / Voter ID card / Driving license / Rent agreement / Electricity bill.
In case of absence of Domicile Certificate, the parents or guardians will compulsorily upload the residence certificate of their child on the portal through the school within three months of admission in the school.
- Aadhar card of the parents or guardians (Aadhar card of the child after enrollment).
- Aadhar card of the child will not be mandatory at the time of application, but within three months of admission in the school, the parents or guardians will compulsorily submit the Aadhar card of their child to the school. The headmaster of the school will upload the said Aadhar on the Gyandeep portal.
- Mobile number of parent or guardian.
- Latest colour passport size photo of the child (Size 50 kb)
Application Process of Bihar RTE Admission 2025-26
- Initial registration of children will be done on Gyandeep Portal. Parents or children can register on the said portal with their mobile number.
- At the time of application, verification of Aadhaar card of parents or their guardians will be mandatory and verification of children’s Aadhaar card will be optional. (Aadhaar card of the child will not be mandatory at the time of application, but at the time of admission in the school, within three months, parents or guardians will compulsorily submit their child’s Aadhaar card to the school. The Head Master of the school will upload / get the children’s Aadhaar uploaded on the portal.)
- After registration, their USER ID for application will be sent to their mobile number through SMS.
- After logging in with this USER ID, the child’s parents or guardians will be able to fill the enrollment form.
Selection Process of Bihar RTE Admission 2025-26
- After filling all the required information, the applicant will go to the option to select the school.
- The applying parent/guardian or child will be able to see the option of all the schools located in their block. Also, it will be necessary to mention the distance between the school selected by the applicant and the children’s home.
- During online application, the applicant will select the nearest five schools located in his block.
- Children living within 01 km from the selected school will be given first priority. Students living between 01 to 03 km will be given second priority. Students living between 03 to 06 km will be given third priority. If seats are available, other students living in that particular block will be given a chance. The concerned Block Education Officer / School Sub Inspector will be responsible for verifying the distance.
- All applicants are advised to select the correct distance of the school from the child’s residence as accurately as possible. This distance will be confirmed by the concerned school and Block Education Officer/School Sub Inspector after online allotment. Admission will be finalized only after successful verification. Any wrong declaration by the applicants can lead to cancellation of application at any stage.
Online seat allocation of Bihar RTE Admission 2025-26
- School allocation will be done through online lottery. 2. 5% seats will be reserved for handicapped children (CWSN).
- Students living comparatively close to the school will be given priority in allocation.
- After verification of the application by the Block Education Officer / School Sub Inspector, the application consented for Randomization will be sent to the District Education Officer / District Program.
The process of school allocation will be done by the Officer (Primary Education and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan) Office through online lottery.
