Agni Natchathiram End Date and Time 2025: In Tamil Nadu, in particular, the height of summer is known as ‘Agni Natchathiram.’ ‘Kathiri Veyil,’ as the TN people call it, is another name for the hottest temperatures in the area. Tamil Nadu residents commemorate the “Agni Natchathiram” era as a festival honoring Lord Karthikeya (Lord Murugan) during this time. Agni Natchathiram is the name given to this twenty-day period when the Sun passes through the Karthigai nakshatra.

Agni Natchithiram is expected to start on Sunday, May 4, 2025, and end on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, according to Tamil astrologers.

The Sun’s passage through the latter portion of Bharani Nakshatra and the first stage of the Rohini Star correspond to this time frame. At prominent Lord Murugan temples such as Palani, Palamuthirsolai, Swamimalai, Tiruttani, and Tiruchendur, colorful celebrations take place around this time.

Mun Kathiri will begin on May 21, 2025, and run through May 31, 2025, in the forthcoming year of 2025. Then, on May 15, 2025, the first day of Vaikasi will mark the start of the Pin Kathiri period, which will end on May 14, 2025.

Ten days in Chithirai and fifteen days in Vaikasi make up the Kathiri Veyil period.
