Andaman and Nicobar RTE Admission 2025-26: All schools must admit students from the entry-level classes (Nursery/Pre-School, KG/Pre-Primary, and Class I) to the extent that at least 25% of the students in those classes are from underprivileged neighborhoods. They must also offer free and mandatory elementary education until it is finished, with the caveat that if the school offers pre-school instruction, the rules must be followed for admission to that program.

Furthermore, Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act of 2009 includes a provision requiring the enrollment of children from marginalized communities and disadvantaged families in neighboring educational institutions at the Class I level. It requires that at least 25% of the class’s total capacity be set aside for the admission of these pupils.
