केवी स्कूल 2025-26 में प्रवेश के लिए एससी, एसटी, ओबीसी नियमित आरक्षण कार्यान्वयन

SC ST OBC Reservation in KV School Admission 2025-26: For admission to Class 1 and Balvatika courses, the KVS has followed the established reservation method followed by the Central Government. As per the current regulations, 15% of seats are allotted to Scheduled Castes, 7.5% to Scheduled Tribes, and 27% to Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) in all fresh admissions across Kendriya Vidyalayas. Additionally, 25% of the seats available for new admissions will be allocated for the Right to Education (RTE) quota, with 27% going to OBC-Non-Creamy Layer, 15% going to SC, and 7.5% going to ST.

25% of Seats Allocated for RTE Quota in 2025-2026

After pupils are admitted under the RTE Act of 2009, children with special needs (CwSN) will be enrolled before children in Category-1 are admitted. Students from OBC-NCL, SC, and ST backgrounds will be included in this Category-1. The admissions procedure for Category-2, which will include SC, ST, and OBC-NCL children, would then start. For Project/IHL Schools, it will continue to Category-3.

The number of SC, ST, and OBC-NCL children accepted under the RTE quota, as well as those admitted under Priority Category-1 and Category-2, would be evaluated in order to calculate the shortfall in the number of candidates for seats designated for these groups.

How will reservation work in KVS admission 2025-26?

The reservation process for KVS admissions for the academic year 2025-26 will adhere to the following guidelines within the sanctioned class size of 40 students per section:

  • SC 15%: 6 seats
  • ST 7.5%: 3 seats
  • OBC-NCL 27%: 11 seats
  • Additionally, 3% of seats will be reserved for applicants with Special Needs (CwSN) on a horizontal basis.

Upon the conclusion of the registration process, the lottery sequence for each Kendriya Vidyalaya will proceed as follows:

1) RTE Lottery
2) All CwSN Lotteries
3) CAT-I
4) CAT-II
5) SC
6) ST
7) OBC
8) CAT-III

11) CAT-VI (If applicable).

5 Lots System in KVS Admission 2025-26

First Lot: Ten seats, or 25% of the 40 seats available, shall be distributed among the sections in Class I in accordance with the stipulations of the Right to Education (RTE) Act. A lottery technique will be used to choose the ten seats from among all applications submitted by local SC, ST, EWS, BPL, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and CwSN candidates.

Second Lot: In accordance with the predetermined priority categories, a lottery will be held for children with special needs who fall into the SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Unreserved categories.

Third Lot: The remaining seats will be filled based on the current priority categories of Cat-I and Cat-II (or Cat-I to Cat-III in the case of Project/IHL Kendriya Vidyalayas) after taking into consideration RTE and CwSN applicants. This process will continue until the authorized capacity is reached or until all registered candidates from Cat-1 and Cat-2 (or Cat-1 to Cat-3 for Project/IHL Kendriya Vidyalayas) have been taken into consideration.

Fourth Lot: Based on the admissions summary from RTE, CwSN, Cat-1, and Cat-2 (or Cat-1 to Cat-3 for Project/IHL Kendriya Vidyalayas) finished by the third phase, the total number of SC/ST/OBC-NCL admissions would be determined. Regardless of the approved strength, SC/ST/OBC-NCL applicants will be admitted in accordance with the set admission priority to make up for any shortage in the reserved seats.

Fifth Lot: Applicants from Priority Cat-3 (or Cat-4 at Project/IHL Kendriya Vidyalayas) and above will be considered for admission based on the current priority list for unreserved seats only if, following all prior procedures, there are still open seats. Any reserved seats for RTE, SC, ST, and OBC (NCL) that are not filled shall remain unoccupied.

Final Selection: If there are not enough registered applicants to fill the remaining reserved seats, the relevant Kendriya Vidyalaya will publish a separate advertisement in accordance with the admission schedule, requesting offline registrations from applicants who fall under the designated reserved categories.
