JNVST NVS Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria
Students who are interested in applying for the prestigious Navodaya Vidyalaya Class 6 Admission for the academic year 2026-27 must carefully satisfy the following eligibility terms and conditions to ensure their application is considered valid.
JNVST NVS Admission 2026-27 Age Criteria: Regarding the age limit for the Navodaya JNVST Class 6 Admission in 2026, prospective candidates must note that they must have been born on or after May 1, 2014, and on or before July 31, 2016. This specific age range applies to all candidate categories, including Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and others. As part of the admission process, students must provide a copy of their birth certificate, which must be issued by a recognized Government Body, to verify their age at the time of admission.
In situations where there may be any doubts regarding a candidate’s age, particularly in cases where the age recorded in the provided certificate appears to indicate that the student might be overage, the candidate may be referred to a Medical Board. This board will conduct a thorough examination to confirm the candidate’s true age. Importantly, the decision reached by the Medical Board will be treated as binding and final, leaving no room for further dispute. Therefore, all applicants need to ensure their documentation is accurate and complete to facilitate a smooth admission process.
JNVST NVS Admission 2026-27 Educational Criteria: Navodaya Vidyalaya Class 6 Educational Qualification is a crucial aspect of the admission process for aspiring students. The admission of candidates to Class VI in a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) is determined on a district-specific basis, ensuring that the opportunity is accessible to local students. To be eligible for this admission, a candidate must currently be studying in Class V within the same district where the JNV is located.
This means that only bona fide resident candidates, who have established their permanent residence in the particular district and are attending Class V in an educational institution within that district, are allowed to apply for admission to JNVs through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). This policy aims to promote educational opportunities for local students and nurture their potential in a supportive and well-structured environment.
A candidate who lives in a different district but completed their fifth grade in another district is not eligible to apply for the JNVST. It is required that the district of residence and the district where the candidate studied in class V be the same.
